Turkish Airlines was named the Best European Airline serving the Middle East on Thursday at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2022 following its 40th anniversary of flying to the UAE.

Extended network

The award was based on the number of online votes submitted by travellers, recognising the airline’s connectivity and extended network.

“This award reflects our strength in being resilient during the pandemic, opening new destinations to cater to our customers’ demand for increased travel and doing it sustainably with initiatives and techniques to decrease greenhouse gas emissions,” Turkish Airlines’ General Manager for Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Mehmed Zingal said, expressing his delight to “serve customers from this region,” and stressing that the airline looks forward to adding more value to their travel plans.

A rewarding experience

Turkish Airlines is renowned for providing more legroom, signature onboard catering and enhanced in-flight entertainment options, as well as the modern airport lounges in its hub as part of its brand strategy to offer travellers a more rewarding airport experience, according to the carrier.

The airline recently increased the frequency of its flights from UAE to its Istanbul hub which connects travellers to 329 destinations worldwide including 279 international and 50 domestic getaways.
