Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet will start next month a direct flight to Jeddah from Hyderabad in South India.

The new daily flight to the commercial capital of Saudi Arabia will be the Indian carrier’s third destination in the Middle East.

SpiceJet currently operates flights to Dubai and Muscat from multiple cities in India.

The daily flights to Jeddah will commence on March 25, the airline announced on Monday.

SpiceJet will deploy its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft on the route.

“Our new flight from Hyderabad will greatly benefit the thousands of pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia and our state-of-the-art Boeing 737 MAX promises an unparalleled experience to all our guests,” said Ajay Singh, chairman and managing director, SpiceJet.

The new service will enable SpiceJet to provide over 2,500 seats per week on the route.
