Amadeus' Oman operations expands with new appointment

Aiming to capitalise on Oman’s efforts to expand its travel market, Amadeus has announced the appointment of Karim Eldeghedy to the position of senior manager for Pre-Sales & Solutions Adoption.

Set to relocate to Oman from Amadeus’ MENA regional office in Dubai, UAE, Eldeghedy is expected to manage the company’s pre-sales activities and IT projects within the country. Bringing over 20 years of experience to the role, Eldeghedy will focus specifically on global distribution systems (GDS) within the tourism segment.

Prior to joining Amadeus, Eldeghedy held key positions in organisations, such as Sabre Travel Network Middle East and the Bahrain Institute of Technology.

Commenting on his appointment, Eldeghedy shared: “Today Oman is one of the most promising markets in the MENA region for Amadeus and represents a huge untapped potential for the company. I look forward to working with our established team in the Sultanate and our partners across the Oman travel industry to power even better travel journeys moving forward.”
