StandardAero Component Services, a division of MRO service provider StandardAero, recently unveiled a 2,787 sqm expansion at its component repair facility in Miami, Florida.
In addition to expanded space, the new area is equipped with a clean line, a vacuum furnace, as well as water jet cleaning stations.
Coupled with the existing structures and capabilities onsite, the latest expansion marks the facility as the largest provider of aerospace and aerospace-derivative combustor overhauls in North America and one of the largest in the world.
Diego Beltran, vice president & general manager of StandardAero Components’ Miami facility, said: “Since becoming a part of the StandardAero family in 2017, we have enjoyed the support and resources that the company has brought to bear on our Miami operations.
“We are excited for our employees here as well as for our customers as we bring more and new work into our shop to meet the growing demands in the industry.”
The latest expansion marks the latest endeavour by StandardAero to increase the capabilities of its facilities. Recently, the company completed a similar expansion at its facility in Cincinnati. Additionally, the MRO specialist shares that another 2,787 sqm expansion is scheduled for its Hillsboro, Ohio facility. The project is slated for completion by the close of 2018.
