A new mobile anti-drone system has been developed to give authorities a fast response to detect and block drone incursions.
Australian companies DroneShield and Intelligent Security Integration (ISI) have collaborated on the Rapid Scout system, an anti-drone system and command centre housed in a van.
The system utilises ISI's Rapid Scout mobile surveillance solution, a combination of vehicle mast-mounted CCTV and autonomous electro-optics surveillance systems which can be used in locations where traditional CCTV coverage is limited or not possible.
The new solution integrates DroneShield's counterdrone systems into the Rapid Scout HQ vehicle, to allow mobile response to monitor areas and to counter intrusions by commercial/consumer grade drones.
The ‘detect and defeat' solution will utilise a mix of DroneShield's RadarZero portable drone detection radar; RfOne drone detection via an RF direction finder; and r DroneCannon counterdrone jammer modules.
Oleg Vornik, DroneShield's CEO commented: "The partnership with an onvehicle surveillance market leader ISI allows DroneShield to enter the vehicle-based law enforcement, security and military market, using a proven vehicle platform that ISI provides. There is a considerable interest in the market today for on-vehicle counterdrone products, which Rapid Scout is well placed to meet using DroneShield's capability."
Stephen Bell, ISI managing director said: "We are excited about this partnership and believe our vehicle-based surveillance capabilities combined with DroneShield's counterdrone sector leadership enable this market leading product to meet customer requirements in the counterdrone space."
