The UAE’s ultra-low-fare national carrier, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi announced on Friday the inauguration of a new route to Salalah, with fares starting at AED 39, marking its second destination in Oman after the capital, Muscat.

A unique destination

“Salalah is a unique travel destination with the best summer weather in the region and abundant wildlife. Travellers will experience unmissable nature with a plethora of options for exploration of the coastline and the mountains,” Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s Managing Director, Michael Berlouis said, noting that “we are delighted at the variety of destinations in our expanding network with incredible historical and cultural experiences awaiting adventurous travellers in Salalah.”

Berlouis said that Wizz Air looks forward to sharing its love of travel and seeing customers onboard its aircraft “for more convenient and affordable travel soon.”

The airline will operate two weekly flights to Salalah every Monday and Friday onboard its Airbus A321neo aircraft fleet.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operates a young fleet of four Airbus A321neo aircraft to Alexandria, Amman, Aqaba, Athens, Baku, Belgrade, Kutaisi, Manama, Mattala, Muscat, Santorini, Sarajevo, Sohag, Tel-Aviv, Tirana and Yerevan among other destinations.
