Low-cost carrier Air Arabia has unveiled the launch of a new inflight entertainment system. Aptly known as SkyTime, the new platform allows passengers to connect their preferred mobile device and live stream digital content.

Accessible by connecting to the SkyTime Wi-Fi network right after takeoff, the carrier has already pushed to make the new IFE available across the entirety of its fleet.

Featuring a wide selection of content, passengers will be able to access the latest releases from Hollywood and Bollywood, along with popular TV shows trending within the Middle East region.

It has been reported by the carrier that the system is app-less.

Commenting on the launch, Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, said: “We always seek to make the best use of technology to provide added value to our customers. We are proud to launch ‘SkyTime’, our all new free in-flight entertainment system solely designed to provide customers with add value while onboard Air Arabia flights. This new launch reflects Air Arabia’s commitment to continuously apply innovative solutions aimed at providing real value and convenience to customers”.

The announcement is the latest technical development to be announced by the low-cost carrier following its recent unveiling of Airewards, an online loyalty system that provides customers with the option to earn points based on money, rather than distance flown.

To date, Air Arabia serves over 155 routes from various points across the MENA region and maintains a fleet of 54 aircraft.
