The Dubai-based carrier, flydubai, has renewed an FLX Cargo agreement with the global aviation software provider, Accelya, to include additional capabilities.

Strategic move

The renewed multi-year agreement consists of the implementation of Accelya’s Offer and Order solutions, further enhancing flydubai’s digital distribution capabilities.

This will provide the airline with a highly functional self-service tool for customers, as well as facilitate connectivity to various third-party entities through the extensive range of APIs.

Accelya’s comprehensive platform offers insights and data to maximise revenue opportunities, increase margins, and facilitate the creation, development, and distribution of new products across multiple channels.

The companies say that with this renewal, flydubai will benefit from optimising and distributing offers, managing the order lifecycle, and efficiently handling network-wide operations and unit load (ULD) management.

The FLX Cargo solution digitises every aspect of the cargo booking and operations processes, providing airlines with greater commercial and operational control, including command over distribution channels.

Mohamed Hassan, Senior Vice President of Airport Services & Cargo at flydubai, expressed the airline’s commitment to investing in innovative solutions to enhance cargo capabilities, adding, “The renewal and expansion of our partnership with Accelya reaffirms our commitment to adopting best-in-class practices in the industry and we look forward to enhancing our offering as we continue to grow our cargo operational reach.”

On his part Andrew Wilcock, Chief Revenue Officer at Accelya, emphasised the company’s commitment to continue support flydubai’s digital distribution strategies, adding, “Now with our added Offer and Order solutions, flydubai can experience our full end-to-end platform offering, providing scalability and empowering their further growth.”

Established in 2012, flydubai Cargo operates globally from its hub in Dubai, covering over 150 destinations in 54 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC, and the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent and South-East Asia.
