Qatar Airways has opened a new centralised European Contact Centre in Poland. The centre is responsible for handling enquiries from customers across key European markets, a region which represents over 25% of the airline’s global network of 125 destinations
The centre was opened in Wroclaw and has created over 100 new jobs for the high number of young Poles with multi-lingual skills in the city.
The airline launched scheduled flights to Warsaw on December 5. It was upgraded from four flights a week to daily last month.
“It’s been an incredible few months for us in Poland with so much activity in such a short space of time that has included winning a few awards along the way for our successful operations in the country,” CEO Akbar Al Baker said. “Our new European Customer Contact Centre is designed to handle a range of customer services such as reservations, ticketing and other related enquiries. The amount of support we have received from the Polish authorities, including the trade development agency in Wroclaw, to open the Contact Centre here has been wonderful. This is a dynamic market and we are delighted to extend our operations further with the new customer contact centre.”
Over the next few weeks and months, Qatar Airways will launch scheduled flights to a diverse portfolio of new routes, including Chicago (April 10); Salalah, Oman (May 22); and Chengdu, China, at a date to be confirmed.
