Passenger numbers are up on Air Arabia.

Air Arabia launched its new mobile website, www.airarabia.com, on November 19 for smartphones.

The website allows passengers to check flights, purchase air tickets, check travel details, view reservations, change flights, select seats, pre-book check-in baggage, and much more. Currently offered in English and Arabic languages, new languages will be added soon to the website.

The airline also enhanced its online check-in facility in partnership wit SITA-DCS to include new destinations. Earlier the system was restricted for outbound travel from Sharjah only.

“At Air Arabia, we place great importance in investing in leading technology and identifying new areas where we can make our customer’s flying experience more convinient,” said, Adel Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia. “The newly designed mobile website and the improved web check-in facility just reiterate this by incorporating additional features that our passengers will find convenient and easy.”

In addition, the airline has also rolled out its enhanced online menu, allowing customers not only to book their meals in advance, rather to choose from a variety of over 50 items of food and beverage.
