The captain of a Gulf Air A330-200 fell ill during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bahrain on February 5, according to the Aviation Herald.
The flight was reportedly close to Oman when the captain suffered a ‘mild heart attack’ and it was decided to divert the plane to Muscat.
The flight, containing 136 passengers, landed safely and the captain was taken to a local hospital.
The flight took off with a replacement crew and reached Bahrain around six hours late.
