Lufthansa plans new first class flights to Frankfurt from Dubai

The cabin class will feature on flights from 1 May

Lufthansa is planning new first class flights to Frankfurt from Dubai, the company has announced.

"We're planning to bring back the option from 1 May," said Heike Birlenbach, senior vice president of sales for hub airlines and chief commercial officer at the airline's hub in Frankfurt.

In February Lufthansa also signed a codeshare agreement with premium carrier Etihad on flights to Frankfurt and Munich from Abu Dhabi.

Demand for the cabin class has prompted its return according to Birlenbach, who also mentioned an increasing amount of "insecurity" on travel to the US had brought increasing demand on its flights to Frankfurt.
