Etihad Airways has signed a number of codeshare agreements this year.
The UAE's national carrier yesterday inked an agreement with to codeshare with Airbaltic. Flights from Latvia's capital Riga would take place on Airbaltic, giving passengers access to Etihad's wider network from Abu Dhabi. The agreement will commence in October and continue indefinitely.
Earlier today, the carrier signed another codeshare partnership with Egyptair to begin March 1. Etihad Airways will place its ‘EY’ code on EGYPTAIR operated flights between Abu Dhabi and Cairo, while EGYPTAIR will place its ‘MS’ code on Etihad Airways flights between the two capital cities.
The agreements come after Etihad signed a $100 million codeshare and catering agreement with Lufthansa in February.
