The Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost operator, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched on Wednesday its latest City Check-in service in Abu Dhabi to offer passengers enhanced convenience and flexibility.
Added flexibility
The new service enables customers to drop off baggage, collect boarding passes and select seats at a nearby location before travelling to save time and immediately board the flight upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The check-in centres located at Air Arabia’s sales shop next to Jumbo Electronics on Hamdan Street in Abu Dhabi will accept baggage starting 24 to eight hours before departure. The baggage is then transported directly to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Strong financial results
The new service launch comes after the airline’s announcement on Wednesday 11 May
signifying strong financial results for the first quarter of 2022, with $79.21 million (AED291 million) in net profit, a 756% rise compared to $9.26 million (AED34 million) in the corresponding quarter in 2021.
Moreover, the carrier posted a total turnover of $305 million (Dh 1.12 billion), 97% up compared to the same period in 2021.
