Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has resumed operations out Pakistan with direct flights from Islamabad International Airport to Bahrain International Airport.
Flights from other cities in Pakistan will be added in the coming days.
In compliance with the Civil Aviation Authority in Pakistan, flights will only operate with passengers out of Pakistan.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Gulf Air temporarily suspended all flights to its seven destinations in Pakistan from 21 March.
The airline was one of the few carriers regionally and globally to operate scheduled flights during the widespread suspension.
In a statement the carrier said: “Gulf Air will continue to monitor the readiness of airports and plan the resumption of its operation to most of its network.”
