Gulf Air enters into codeshare partnership with KLM

Gulf Air strengthens presence in Europe with new agreement to offer passengers greater choice

Bahrain’s carrier Gulf Air has entered into a codeshare partnership with KLM following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two airlines.

Gulf Air will place its ‘GF’ code on KLM flights from Bahrain to Amsterdam and flights from Amsterdam to Frankfurt.

And KLM will place its ‘KL’ code on Gulf Air flights from Bahrain to Sialkot, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar.

Vincent Coste, Gulf Air’s CCO, said: “We are glad to announce the partnership with KLM and expand our network with a service between the Kingdom of Bahrain and The Netherlands.

“With this important commercial agreement, we are offering our passengers a connection to Amsterdam using a Gulf Air ticket.

“On this occasion, I would like to congratulate KLM on their 100th anniversary and wish them continued success for many years to come”.

Bruce Dönszelmann, VP Alliances KLM said: “We are pleased to start this new cooperation with Gulf Air, and to strengthen our Network in the Middle East, which is a strong market for both business and leisure customers.

“In Gulf Air we have found a very reliable partner, with whom we can offer passengers more transfer options and destinations in the Indian subcontinent.”
