Etihad Airways is currently constructing a new lounge facility for its top-tier guests in Terminal 3 at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The new First Class Lounge, expected to open in May (2016), will be exclusively for its First Class guests, Etihad Guest Platinum and Etihad Airways Partners Platinum guests, and those staying in The Residence onboard its Airbus A380 fleet‎.

Commenting ahead of its opening, chief commercial officer Peter Baumgartner said: “The new First Class Lounge in Abu Dhabi will be the jewel in the crown of our ever-growing global lounge portfolio, a showcase of intelligent design and innovation, and the world’s best premium airport experience.

“We are confident that it will deliver a product and service which is as highly acclaimed as it is inflight and look forward to unveiling its many unique features with great pride.”

Though details of its features have yet to be unveiled, the airline claims that its design combines Arabian elements and features synonymous with Etihad Airways.
