Stopping off on its way from Airbus’ delivery centre in Hamburg to Dubai, Emirates’ newest A380 aircraft performed a low-level flyby over the ongoing Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.

Taking off from Barcelona Airport at 1400, the A380, bearing the tail number A6-EVC, flew past the racetrack at 1000 feet and at a speed of 180 knots.

The pilot crew for the flight comprised of Captain Patrick De Roeck supported by First Officers, Abdulla Alyammahi, and Sergio Puchol.

As an F1 Global Partner since 2013, Emirates recently renewed its contract with Spanish Grand Prix until the end of 2022. As part of its agreement, Emirates is able to afford expanded branding and consumer activation presence at over 15 races on the FIA Formula One World Championship global calendar.
