Building upon an ongoing collaboration that goes back to 2017, Swiss International Air Lines and Joramco have inked a five-year agreement that will see the MRO specialist oversee C-Checks and HMV checks on the airlines’ Airbus fleet.
Covering A320, A333 and A340 aircraft variants, Joramco will also incorporate ADs, SBs and structure repairs at the company’s maintenance facility in Amman, Jordan.
To date, the MRO service provider has successfully completed 35 layovers for SWISS.
Jeff Wilkinson, CEO of Joramco, commented: “Joramco, with its expanding capabilities, strives to provide its customers with flexible, high-quality services at competitive prices, taking advantage of the ongoing transformation that is taking place at the company, we are delighted that this was noted by our customers who entrusted Joramco with their base maintenance services and resulted in extending the agreement with us.”
Recently, teams from Joramco, SWISS and the Lufthansa Group, completed a joint workshop that focused on streamlining processes related to MRO operations. This involved devising new approaches to manging TAT, material deliveries, order to invoicing, final document, cabin standard, as well as overhauling in-house capabilities.
Commenting on the agreement, Thomas Bjorndal, technical procurement & relationship manager said: ”Joramco is always keen on delivering high quality, competitive pricing for the services delivered at favourable turnaround times and we look forward to developing our partnership further with Joramco. Joramco can always be relied on for short notice flexibility and commitment to SWISS challenging maintenance schedule”.
