Dubai Air Navigation Services secure three key ISO certifications

Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans) has successfully secured three ISO certifications for quality management system, operational training and information security.

Dans reported that it has secured the ISO 9001:2015 certificate in quality management System, ISO 27001: 2013 in information security management system, as well as a letter of compliance in relation to the ISO 10015: 1999 for quality management in operational training.

To help realise this project, a team from both the organisation’s  Safety & Security, Operational Training & Standards and Quality Assurance divisions worked closely to secure the certifications.

H.E. Mohammed A. Ahli, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans) said: “Demonstrating robust quality processes and management systems implemented across each and every department across the organisation, has enabled dans to become an internationally recognized ISO certified entity.

“This is considered as a milestone in the history of the organisation, as air navigation service provider work environment has intricate and complex processes that must be aligned with ICAO regulations as well as air traffic management best practices.”

HE Ahli added: “Being recognised for complying with quality management standards in operational training is a profound testament to the unique training capabilities dans possesses in equipping air traffic management professionals with the skills they require to excel in their roles.

“Additionally, being compliant with 113 security controls in international information security standards is a tangible proof that dans are home to good information security practices in an environment where cyber security threats are on the rise”.
